Privacy Policy

Fizzmo ("the app") is an alcohol-free drink recipe app for Android and the web, published by Hugo Software. Recipes are shown in a live 3D glass, you can mix your own drinks in the Lab, play the Rush Hour bar game, and send a drink to a friend as a link. We collect no personal data.

Everything stays on your device

Your favourites, the drinks you save in the Lab, your settings, your game progress and the ingredients you tick in "What's in your fridge?" are stored only on your device, in the app's own local storage. Fizzmo has no account system, no sign-up and no server of its own that stores your data. We never receive, upload or back up anything you make in the app.

"Treat a friend" links

When you send a drink, the app builds a link that contains the drink itself (glass, colours, garnish) and, if you type them, the two names and a short note. All of this is placed in the part of the link after the # sign (the "fragment"). Browsers do not send that part to any server, so when your friend opens the link, our web server delivers the page but never receives the drink, the names or the note. You choose who receives the link through Android's share sheet, and the app you share it with (for example a messenger) has its own privacy policy. Anyone who has the link can see what you wrote in it, so do not put anything private in a note.

Drink cards

Pro subscribers can save a drink as an image. The image is made on your device and leaves it only when you choose an app in the share sheet.

No advertising, no analytics

Fizzmo contains no advertising SDK of any kind and reads no advertising ID. It contains no third-party analytics and no crash-reporting SDK. There is no tracking and no profiling.

Network activity

The app makes only two kinds of outbound request:

1. A fetch of a small configuration file at launch (feature flags). No data about you is sent with it.
2. Google Play Billing traffic, handled by Google Play services on your device, to look up prices and check your subscription status.

The web version at fizzmo.bnj.app is a static page. As with any website, the server may record the requesting IP address in ordinary server logs; we do not link that to you.

Motion sensor

If "Tilt with your phone" is on, the glass tilts as you tilt your phone, using the device's orientation sensor. The readings are used live to move the glass and are never stored or sent anywhere.

Subscriptions and payment

Fizzmo Pro is an optional auto-renewing weekly, monthly or yearly subscription sold through Google Play, with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details. Your subscription status is read from Google Play on your device.

Children

Fizzmo is an alcohol-free recipe app for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. It has no chat, no social feed and no way for users to contact each other inside the app.

Deleting your data

Your data lives only on your device: delete saved drinks in the app (Saved > My creations), or uninstall the app to remove everything at once. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. See the data removal page.

Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel in Google Play > Subscriptions.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR give you rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data held about you. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or erase.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The current version is always available at this address.
